Below is the list of our currently scheduled
general volunteer and foster home orientations. If you
cannot make any of these sessions, or they are full, the next month's orientations will be
posted here as soon as they are scheduled.
**Reservations are required for all
orientations. Please call the Volunteer Coordinator at 352-2510 x1009 or
email her
to make a reservation.**
General
Volunteer Orientation (lasts 1-1½ hours)
FULL
- 1 session on Thursday, February 9
at *5:30 pm
Foster Home ONLY
Orientation (lasts 20-30 minutes)
1 session on Thursday, February 9
at *7:00 pm
(We will
open the front doors at 6:55 pm for these orientations.)
*We
are unable to allow late entry into an orientation. If you are not
able to make it to the beginning of an orientation, please come to another
session. Children under 14 must be accompanied by their adult volunteer
partners at all times.
If after the
orientation you feel that volunteering at the shelter would be a good fit
for you, please submit a volunteer application. (Applications are handed
out at the orientation.)
It takes a
couple weeks to process your application and background check. We will then
contact you to schedule your first volunteer shift. This will give you an
opportunity for hands-on training.
